The members decided that it would be best to put a blog site on our own webpage instead of on Facebook. Also, the old website will soon expire. The link on the CDS website will lead to our new page, which will be searchable. 8. Plans for 2011: a. We need an updated list of members from CDS. Some members are not included in the list that Sally received. b. The Delta Sierra chapter does not have any licenses for rated shows for 2011. The chapter survey indicated that schooling shows,, possibly combined with a test riding clinic with the judge before or after the show and/or a meeting, and playdays are the most requested activities. There is expertise within our membership for help with riding and training that could be used in a playday format. Kim said that there are monthly playdays at Bridlewood and invited all members to attend. Kim will have a three-star show at Bridlewood on March 11-12. c. We must put all activities in our chapter area on our calendar so that members may take advantage of them. d. Joan Cinquini has volunteered to be Secretary for 2011. 4. Kin Lemke attended the CDS annual meeting in Long Beach. The main topics of discussion were the new rules on the wearing of approved helmets by all riders on a show grounds, whether they are competitors or not. Also, all chapters must now report the total compensation package for judges and TD s to CDS, which then issues 1099 forms at the year s end. This compensation must include all fees, travel expenses, hotels, meals, etc., and must be reported according to state regulations. 5. Monica Fay reported that entry forms for the CDS Adult Amateur Northern California Clinic with Donna Richardson in May have been e-mailed to all members. The chapter will pay $150. towards the cost of the clinic; all other costs are the responsibility of the rider. The requirements for selection are on the form.
